This recipe for Lebanese-style Hummus and Beef Mince is such a yummy and fun way to serve hummus. Easy to prepare, this meal can be served as a shared starter from one plate, or, it could be divided up and served as a main for up to 4 people.

Ingredient notes:
- Mince: I used lean beef mince to create this recipe. Feel free to use lamb mince if you prefer.
- Hummus: I like to use traditional garlic hummus in this meal.
- Spices: This combination of spices produces fragrant beef mince. As always, amend the quantities to suit your taste.

Step by step instructions:
Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the mince and cook while stirring until browned. Add the remaining spices and cook for two minutes.
Place the hummus on a large round plate and spread out to the edges. Top with the cooked mince and toasted pine nuts.
Garnish with fresh herbs. Serve immediately with warm flat breads, rocket leaves and a drizzle of olive oil.

Along with your favourite, flat bread, pita pockets or gluten free toast... you could also serve this yummy meal with fresh vegetables like cucumber, tomato, and radish, as well as pickles and olives.
Personally, I like to serve my mince with a simple, traditional hummus. But if you have a favourite type of hummus, by all means use that! You could also make your own hummus if you like.
Storage:
Store any leftover mince and hummus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
Top tips:
This is a really fun sharing dish. Place the large plate of hummus next to a bowl of flatbreads and allow everyone to scoop and eat directly from the shared plate.

Ingredients
Beef mince
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 500g lean beef mince
- ½ tsp allspice
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
To serve
- 500g store bought hummus, room temperature
- 30g pine nuts, toasted
- Fresh parsley and mint
- Fresh rocket leaves
- Flatbread
- Olive oil or chilli oil
Instructions

Notes
- You could serve the hummus warm if you prefer.
- For a festive twist, add some pomegranate seeds to the garnish.
- Honey can also be drizzled over the top for a sweet touch.
