Ingredient notes:
- Cheese: I like to use Pizza Blend cheese, but you can use whichever cheese you and your family like.
- Pepperoni: I use a mild pepperoni for the boys, but you could go spicier. Or even just use ham.
- Flour: High-grade flour does work best for pizza dough. But plain flour will also do the job.

Step by step instructions:
In a large bowl, pour in the warm water and add the honey, then stir to dissolve. Add yeast and stir again, leave covered with a tea towel for 10 minutes.
Add flour, olive oil and salt then turn the mixer on low with the dough hook attached. Mix for 5 minutes until smooth and a little sticky. (Knead with your hands if you do not have a mixer).
Cover with a clean tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for at least 30 mins until the mixture has doubled in size.
Turn out onto a floured surface and divide the dough in half. Roll each piece into a ball and leave to rise for another 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 210°C fan bake. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into circles and place into an oiled skillet or cake tin.
Spread half of the pizza sauce onto each of the bases, then sprinkle over grated cheese and place the pepperoni on top.
Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is turning golden and the base is cooked through.
Hint: You can add extra favourite toppings like mushrooms, capsicum, ham and BBQ sauce etc.
Recipe FAQs:
Adding honey (or sugar) to pizza dough enhances the flavour while also helping to brown the base during baking.
Yes, you can refrigerate pizza dough for up to 1-2 days or freeze it for a few weeks. Let it come to room temperature before using.
Storage:
Store any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Enjoy cold or reheat in the oven or air fryer until piping hot.
Unused pizza dough can also be frozen. Store in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to three months.
Top tips:
If you don't have a skillet pan, just use a deep baking dish. A standard round cake size is fine.
