These delicious cranberry glazed chicken wings are the perfect starter for Christmas day.
These chicken wings can be made in the oven or Air fryer. Russell Hobbs reached out to me to collaborate and create some exciting recipes using their Crisp'N Bake toaster oven. I have been experimenting and so far I have made zucchini chips, chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, french toast, bacon and baked salmon in it. All have been cooked so quickly and to perfection. I am seriously impressed.
The Air Fry Crisp'N Bake Toaster Oven has five different cooking modes and Air Fry is my favourite, these chicken wings were golden and cooked through in 13 minutes. The marinade is so simple to make with cranberry sauce as the base and the 5 spice powder gives it a tasty kick. If you don't have an air fryer just bake them in a hot oven for around 30 minutes until cooked through.
How to make cranberry glazed chicken wings:
First of all whisk together the marinade ingredients: cranberry sauce, soy sauce, honey and Chinese five spice powder. Pour over chicken wings and reserve around ¼ cup. This is to brush over at the end.
Next set to Air Fry mode and put it onto the 15 minute timer. Bake the chicken wings in the mesh basket until cooked through. Make sure you spray the basket with oil beforehand as this makes it easier to clean afterwards and stops the chicken sticking. If using an oven pre-heat to 200.C fanbake and cook on a lined baking tray for 30 minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked until golden remove from the Air Fryer (or oven) and brush over the reserved cranberry glaze. This intensifies the cranberry flavour and gives it a sticky finish. Serve immediately as a starter or main meal with a side salad and garlic bread.

Cranberry glazed chicken wings
These chicken wings are coated in a delicious spicy cranberry glaze.
Ingredients
- 10 chicken wings (850g approx)
Marinade
- 100g cranberry sauce
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
Instructions
- Whisk together marinade ingredients, pour over chicken wings reserving around ¼ cup.
- Coat chicken wings then place on the mesh rack. Cook in an air fryer for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Coat hot chicken wings with reserved marinade and serve.
Notes
- If you want to cook these in a standard oven then bake at 200.C for 30 minutes or until cooked through.

Absolutely. Depending on the size of the chicken drumsticks you may need to increase the cook time to ensure they are cooked all the way through.
