This super easy no-bake slice is perfect for a shared morning tea or to pop into lunchboxes. Made with Mars Bars, butter, rice bubbles and milk chocolate, it's a deliciously indulgent sweet treat.

Be warned, this Mars Bar Slice is so good, you might find it hard to stop eating it. I had to hide mine away in a container up high! And even then, it was gone within a day. I love that it is so quick and easy to make, especially since you don't have to bake it.

Ingredient notes:
- Mars Bars: These are key to the recipe because they melt so easily and go all soft and caramelly. You could also use Moro Bars if they are on special.
- Milk Chocolate: I used Whittakers Creamy Milk as it is one of my favourites, but any plain chocolate would be fine.

Step by step instructions:
Line a 27 x 19 cm slice tin with baking paper. Place the Mars bars and butter in a large saucepan over a gentle heat. Stir until completely melted.
Remove from the heat and whisk vigorously to combine. Pour the rice bubbles into the pot and mix to coat. Tip the mixture into the lined tin. Spread out to the edges and smooth out the top with the back of a spoon.
Topping: Place the chocolate in a glass bowl. Microwave for 80 seconds then let it sit for a few minutes before stirring. Pour the chocolate on top and spread out to the edges. Scatter over the optional sliced mars bars then place in the fridge to set.
Once set, slice into pieces then store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Recipe FAQs:
Yes, it can! I mean, good luck not eating it all in one sitting but sure, hypothetically you could freeze some. I would cut the slice before freezing and grab pieces out of the airtight container as you need them.
No, you don't. Moro Bars and even Milky Ways would work too. But Mars Bars melt really well, and I like the flavour of the caramel.
Storage:
Store your Mars Bar Slice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week, or in the freezer for up to two months. I would cut the slice before freezing and grab pieces out of the airtight container as you need them.

Just regular rice bubbles.

In the UK we also make rice crispy cakes using toffee, butter, marshmallows (all melted) and then adding some rice crispies (6oz of each ingredient). They’re absolutely delicious too but never tried freezing as they simply don’t last long enough! I shall try your recipe.

Hi Kay, I have a couple of other recipes similar to what you are describing- one with marshmallows and one without. https://vjcooks.com/rice-bubble-slice/ and https://vjcooks.com/marshmallow-rice-bubble-slice/
