Oven-baked stuffing balls made from pork sausage meat, cranberry sauce and breadcrumbs. A twist on traditional stuffing!
My delicious Stuffing Balls are the perfect addition to your Christmas Day spread. Made from pork sausage meat, cranberry sauce and breadcrumbs, they hit all the right notes. Sweet, salty and crispy!
How to make Stuffing balls:
To begin, preheat the oven to 180°C fanbake. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl then, using a spoon or your hands, mix well until combined.
Scoop the mixture and roll into balls (I use a dough scoop! This helps to keep the balls the same size which means they cook evenly).
Place on to a lined baking tray then bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden. Serve immediately alongside your roast turkey or chicken. Yum!

Common questions about stuffing balls:
Can I make these in advance? Yes! To get ahead before Christmas Day, you could mix and roll these stuffing balls the day before, then store in an airtight container in the fridge until you want to cook them.
Can I make these gluten free? Absolutely. To make these stuffing balls gluten free, substitute the breadcrumbs for almond meal, crushed rice crackers or bread crumbs made from gluten free bread.

Could these be made ahead and reheated or would they go dry?

Yes, I think you run the risk of drying them out. You could mix and roll them ahead of time, then cook them where ever you are eating.
