An amazing no-bake lolly slice made from a melt and mix base of sweetened condensed milk, butter, chocolate and crushed biscuits, then topped with white chocolate and pick and mix lollies.

Look how joyful this XL Pick and Mix Lolly Slice is! The topping is like a work of art - almost too good to eat (almost...). The beauty of this easy melt-and-mix slice is that you can use any type of lollies. From chocolate candy to gummy lollies, marshmallows to milk bottles, feel free to use whatever your preference is, or whatever you have to hand. I also have a traditional Lolly Cake recipe and if you like Perky Nanas - this one's for you, a No-Bake Perky Nana Slice.
Ingredient notes:

- Chocolate: This recipe can be made with milk chocolate or dark chocolate in the base. I've used both and they each work well.
- Biscuits: It's important to use a mixture of both biscuit crumbs and biscuit pieces. The crumbs help to combine the base together, and the broken pieces give the base some structural integrity as well as a good crunch.
- Lollies: This recipe is very flexible when it comes to the lollies. Personally I like squish of the marshmallows in the base. But feel free to use your favourites!

Step by step instructions:
Line a large baking tin with baking paper. My tin is 23 cm x 33 cm. To a large glass bowl, add the butter, condensed milk and milk chocolate. Cover and microwave for 90 seconds. Leave to stand, then stir until fully melted and smooth.

Blitz some of the biscuits to fine crumbs, then roughly crush the rest so you still have some larger pieces. Add all of the biscuits to the bowl along with the marshmallows and lollies. Mix until well combined.

Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin. Spread it out evenly, pressing down firmly, then smooth the top with the back of a metal spoon. Place in the fridge while you prepare the topping. Add the white chocolate to a clean glass bowl. Microwave in 30 second bursts until the chocolate is soft. Add the oil and stir until smooth.

Pour the white chocolate topping over the slice and spread to the edges. Arrange the lollies on top.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until completely set. Slice into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

Recipe FAQs:
Yes, in fact it's best to! This slice requires at least 4 hours setting time but overnight is even better.
Yes, especially in warmer weather. The base can soften if left at room temperature.
Of course, feel free to use any of your favourite lollies on top or in the base.
Storage:
Store the slice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. This slice can be frozen for up to 2 months. Store in a sealed container with baking paper between layers. Defrost in the fridge before serving.
Top tips:
- You can swap the milk chocolate in the base for dark or white chocolate. The topping chocolate can also be swapped for any flavour you like.
- Use whatever lollies you prefer. I used chocolate freckles, Smarties, milk bottles, juicy caramels, liquorice allsorts, bananas, musk sticks, peaches and cream, strawberries and cream and jelly beans. Party mix packs work perfectly too.
- If you prefer, you can leave the marshmallows and lollies out of the base entirely and just load it up on top.
