Ingredient notes:

- Lollies: This recipe is very flexible when it comes to the lollies. Personally I like squish of the marshmallows in the base. But feel free to use your favourites!
- Chocolate: This recipe can be made with milk chocolate or dark chocolate in the base. I've used both and they each work well.
- Biscuits: It's important to use a mixture of both biscuit crumbs and biscuit pieces. The crumbs help to combine the base together, and the broken pieces give the base some structural integrity as well as a good crunch.

Step by step instructions:
Line a heart-shaped baking tin with baking paper. To a microwave safe glass bowl, add the butter, condensed milk and chocolate. Cover and microwave for 90 seconds. Leave to stand, then stir until fully melted and smooth.

Blitz some of the biscuits to fine crumbs, then roughly crush the rest so you still have some larger pieces. Add the biscuits to the bowl along with the marshmallows and lollies. Mix until well combined.

Spoon the mixture into the prepared heart tin. Spread out evenly, pressing down firmly, then smooth the top with the back of a metal spoon. Place in the fridge while you prepare the topping.

Add the white chocolate to a clean glass bowl. Microwave in 30 second bursts until the chocolate is soft. Add the oil and stir until smooth. Pour the topping over the slice and spread to the edges. Decorate the top with the lollies.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until completely set. Slice into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

Recipe FAQs:
Of course. This recipe intentionally uses pink and red lollies for the love heart vibe. But feel free to use any of your favourite lollies on top or in the base.
Yes, in fact it's best to! This slice requires at least 4 hours setting time but overnight is even better.
Yes, especially in warmer weather. The base can soften if left at room temperature.
Storage:
Store the slice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. This slice can be frozen for up to 2 months. Store in a sealed container with baking paper between layers. Defrost in the fridge before serving.
Top tips:
- Use a mixture of fine biscuit crumbs and chunky pieces for the best texture.
- Press the slice down firmly so it holds together neatly once sliced.
- Run a sharp knife under hot water before slicing for cleaner edges.
- If using large lollies, chop them into smaller bite-sized pieces first.
- A square or rectangular slice tin works just as well if you don't have a heart-shaped tin.
