A twist on the classic, these Big Mac nachos are made from corn chips topped with cooked beef mince, melted cheese, lettuce, gherkins and a Big Mac style sauce. An amazing sharing dinner to have with friends and family.

Back in 2021 I created my own version of the popular Big Mac style sauce. My readers absolutely loved it. Since then I've used it in several more viral recipes including Big Mac Pizza and Big Mac Tacos. Now I'm going next level again with my new recipe Big Mac Nachos.
This recipes comprises your favourite corn chips topped with cooked beef mince and cheese which are then melted in the oven. Once cooked, add the chopped lettuce, sliced gherkins, Big Mac style sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Ingredient notes:
- Big Mac style sauce: This sauce comes from my stand-alone recipe for Big Mac Style Sauce, to be served in burgers.
- Corn chips: Choose thick, sturdy corn chips so they hold up well under the toppings and don't go soggy. Plain salted chips work best, but you can also try lightly seasoned ones. I used the cheese flavoured corn chips I had in the cupboard.
- Mince: The classic choice for this meal is beef mince. By all means feel free to swap this for your preferred type of mince.

Step by step instructions:
In a small bowl, mix all of the burger sauce ingredients. Place in the fridge while you prepare the nachos.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, then set aside. Add the beef mince to the frying pan, break up with a wooden spoon then cook until browned. Season well with salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan bake. Spread the corn chips in a baking dish. Top with the cooked mince and grated cheese.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the chips are turning golden.
Remove from the oven and top with lettuce, sliced gherkins, burger sauce and sesame seeds.
Serve immediately and let everyone dig in straight from the tray.
Recipe FAQs:
Yes you can. Make sure you use gluten-free corn chips and double-check that your ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise are gluten-free.
You can prep the components ahead (cook the mince, chop the veg, and make the sauce), but assemble and bake the nachos just before serving so the chips stay crisp.
Storage:
Big Mac Nachos are best eaten fresh, but if you do have leftovers, reheat in the oven or air fryer to help keep the chips crisp. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge before reheating. This recipe is not suitable for freezing.
Top tips:
To save time, you can absolutely use store-bought burger sauce in place of homemade.
