A twist on the classic dumpling, this steamed dumpling lasagne is made from a flavoursome pork mince filling layered between wonton sheets.

This TikTok inspired Pork Mince Dumpling Lasagne is a fun twist on classic pork dumplings. Instead of spending an age wrapping small portions into individual dumplings, in this recipe you simply layer up the wonton wrappers and pork mince filling - lasagne style! The dumpling lasagne is steamed through. It's worth making sure you have a ceramic or glass container that fits in a large pan before you start layering it up!
Ingredient notes:

- Pork mince: This mince has the right level of fat in it to keep the lasagne tender and juicy during the steaming process. Plus it's the classic choice for dumplings and goes so well with the other flavours.
- Wonton wrappers: These soften really well in the steaming process. The beauty of the lasagne is that you don't need to fashion fiddly dumplings by hand!
- Ginger and garlic: If you have it, fresh garlic and ginger will give this dish the most flavour. Jarred varieties can be used though!

Step by step instructions:
In a large bowl, add the pork mince, spring onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, chilli oil and white pepper. Mix well until fully combined. Find a small heatproof baking dish that fits inside a large frying pan or saucepan with a lid, as the lasagne will be steamed. Add enough water to the frying pan or saucepan so it will come up halfway up the sides of the baking dish, and bring to the boil.

To assemble the lasagne, quickly dip a wonton wrapper in water for a second, then lay it flat in the base of the baking dish, repeat until the base is covered. Spread a thin layer of the pork mixture over the wrappers.

Repeat with another layer of wonton wrappers and pork mixture. Continue until you have three layers of pork, finishing with a final layer of wonton wrappers on top. Pour the chicken stock evenly over the top.

Carefully place the baking dish into the pan of boiling water, cover with a lid and steam for 25 minutes until the pork is cooked through.

Carefully remove the dish from the pan. Drizzle over extra soy sauce and chilli sauce over the top, then scatter over sesame seeds and some extra spring onion. Serve with steamed Asian greens on the side.
