Bircher Muesli (also known as overnight oats) is a fantastic way to prepare a delicious and nutritious breakfast that's ready to go in the morning. Made with oats, milk, yoghurt, apples, cinnamon, sultanas and maple syrup, it's ideal for meal prepping.
I love getting ahead when it comes to preparing meals and this Bircher Muesli is one of my absolute favourites to have for breakfast. I like to quickly make it on a Sunday evening, then I know I have something quick to grab during the week when I'm heading off to the studio.

Ingredient notes:
- Oats: Oats make for such a great, filling breakfast and when you soak them in milk for at least eight hours, they become so soft and creamy.
- Sultanas: If you don't like sultanas, they can be swapped for chopped apricots or dried cranberries.
- Yoghurt: I used a berry yoghurt, but you can use any flavour you like.

Step by step instructions:
Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine.
Cover with a lid or divide between 4 serving glasses or meal prep containers. Place in the fridge overnight or for at least eight hours.
Serve plain or topped with fresh fruit, berries, nuts, seeds or maple syrup.
Recipe FAQs:
Essentially, they are the same. Bircher Muesli usually has more apples in it than traditional overnight oats.
For some crunch, you could add some nuts like almonds, cashews or walnuts. You could also experiment with all sorts of dried fruit, like cranberries, apricot, goji berries, pomegranate and raspberries. Top with fresh fruit when you're ready to eat, and drizzle over some honey if you'd like it to be a bit sweeter.
Storage:
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Top tips:
Sultanas can be swapped for chopped apricots or dried cranberries.

Delicious!!!
Quick and easy to make too.
I had no berry yoghurt so used plain and it was still divine. Going to make this on repeat for sure.
