Step by step instructions:
Place the sliced onion in the base of a slow cooker. Trim the fat and skin off the pork leg roast then place it on top of the onion.

In a jug, add the honey, stock cube, salt, and pepper. Pour in the boiling water and whisk until the honey is dissolved.Pour the mixture over the pork and onion in the slow cooker. Cover with the lid and cook on high for 4-5 hours (8 on low), or until the pork is tender and cooked through.

Turn the pork over half way through cooking time. Carefully lift the pork out and set aside to rest for 10 minutes. Mix the cornflour with 3 tablespoons of cold water, then stir it into the cooking liquid in the slow cooker. Use two forks to pull the pork apart, then return it to the slow cooker and stir it through the honey sauce, cook for 10 minutes more then turn to warm until ready to serve.

Anne says
Hi Vanya
Is it possible to put a line or two advising cooking times in an oven please? I don’t have a slow cooker
VJ cooks says
Hi Anne, cook it at 150°C fan bake for 3.5 - 4 hours or until the meat is tender and shreds easily.
Annie says
Hi Vanya - if you don't have an airfryer, how might I cook the crackling in the oven?
VJ cooks says
Hi Annie. Pat the skin dry. Score it then rub salt over it. Place it on a wire rack on a tray (to allow air to circulate around it) then cook in the oven at 230-240°C fan bake for about 20 minutes or until crispy.
